Marvin has over 32 years experience in Martial Arts. His journey began at age 9 when he started Shotokan Karate. He went on to attain 2nd degree black belt rank and eventually started his own school to spread the teachings and benefits of training in the martial arts. 

HIs training in Karate continued for 15 years until he started training in Guro Dan Inosanto’s  Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts systems in Trinidad in 1997. He continued his training and is now an Instructor in Bruce Lee’s Jun Fan Gung Fu / Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Daniel Lonero of the world renowned Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts.  Marvin is also a student under the legendary Guro Dan Inosanto (one of Sifu Bruce Lee’s three certified instructors).

 

Marvin believes that every Martial Artist should broaden his horizons by getting exposure to and training in as many Martial Arts as possible.

Sifu Francis Fong – World renowned Wing Chun Kung Fu Instructor 

Jean Jacques Machado in Machado Brazilian Jui –Jitsu

 

An advocate for healthy lifestyles and fitness, Marvin attained certification as a Personal Training Specialist and is always willing to assist students who have challenges with respect to fitness.

 

A Mechanical Engineer on a full time basis, Marvin also enjoys his passion for his family and the Martial Arts. His Martial Arts training is dedicated to his mother Shirley and late father Gufur who both provided the support needed throughout his professional life and Martial Arts career.
